Most books on university reading lists are stocked in the library and students may borrow up to two books for a period of four weeks at a time. Annual Student Newsletter, Foresight
This newsletter is distributed to all undergraduate offices at the beginning of term and will be available at Student Roadshows. The newsletter is designed to offer an insight into the work of the College and is a useful source of information for students. This year's newsletter features a series of inteviews with optometrists working in different sectors, along with an interview with the College's Lead Assessor, Ruth Brough and other key information about the Pre-Registration Period and Scheme for Registration.
Discounted tickets for the Annual College Conference, Optometry Tomorrow. In 2009, Optometry Tomorrow will take place on the 8th and 9th March in Brighton. The event will include lectures and workshops that are likely to be of interest to 2nd and 3rd year students. Student Associate Members will be eligible for a 50% discount on both 1-Day and 2-Day tickets, and a limited number of complimentary tickets will be made available to students studying or living in the local area. Members’ Room
The College provides a room within the museum for members wanting a space within the College to meet and relax. If you are visiting London with friends and family, and want somewhere to sit and meet you are more than welcome to use the members’ area during normal working hours from Monday to Friday. The College is located just off the Strand (near Charing Cross Station) in London. The members’ area is situated on the lower ground floor of the College and contains a soft seating area and coffee table, surrounded by exhibits from the College collections. You are welcome to access the members’ area whenever you like and, if appropriate, to reserve its exclusive use, however the College would appreciate 24 hours advanced notification.
